Polska Przedsiębiorcza (Entrepreneurial Poland) www.polskaprzedsiebiorcza.pl
Throughout history, Poland has always been an exemplar of activity, creativeness, knowledge and patriotism. Entrepreneurship, understood as a combination of the aforesaid virtues, has been in the minds and hearts of our greatest national heroes, among them Nicolaus Copernicus, Marie Skłodowska Curie, Lech Wałęsa and Pope John Paul II.
The fact that Poland raised foremost authorities held in such high regard is the source of our national strength. In the course of the Polska Przedsiębiorcza project we strive to pave the way for the continued development of notable individuals. Not only do we wish for younger people to be inspired by such respectable individuals, we also want them to become such individuals themselves. Poland's competitive edge does not reside in its strengths in particular fields - agriculture, tourism, mining. We cannot, therefore, attempt to gain an advantage by advocating highway construction, the development of infrastructure or drawing in investors.
In the course of the last 18 years, multiple strategies notwithstanding, Poland had not developed for itself a national vision. And because Poland is lacking a distinct vision, how can the younger generation associate itself with the future prospects of its nation? In contrast with previous generations, this one has nothing to fight for, because the Nation hasn't imbued it with challenges and hasn't set the generation on a clear-cut path towards success. We therefore wish to formulate a vision for our nation.

We wish to showcase entrepreneurship as our national trait, as something which has already granted us worldwide acclaim. If we were to concentrate on the proper development and orientation of entrepreneurship in Poland and among the younger generation in particular, then we could celebrate our national success.
Let's imbue the younger generation with ambitious goals and give them a chance of living up to their ambitions. This is how we would like to see entrepreneurship. According to research, there are about 6 million less companies in Europe than there should be and the number of new enterprises in particular countries is getting lower by the minute. Starting in 2006, an upward trend of entrepreneurship prevails only in Poland. It is therefore advisable to make use of this fact and establish most of those necessary 6 million companies right here in Poland.
If this were to be ever possible, we should arrive at such a system in which all young individuals could try out their business ideas in the course of their education. Our system of education must be forced into a more practical framework in accordance with the positive traits beginning to emerge in Poland.
